What is banana bread ?

Banana bread is a popular baked recipe that is made from ripe bananas. This classic comfort food can be enjoyed as breakfast, as a snack, as a dessert, or for afternoon tea.

INGREDIENTS

This recipe doesn’t require many ingredients, all you need is :

  • Ripe bananas : the more ripe your bananas are the sweeter they will be.
  • Butter (unsalted)
  • Granulated sugar
  • Eggs
  • All-purpose flour
  • Peckans
  • Chocolate chips
  • Baking soda
  • Salt

STEP 1

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.

Take a bread loaf pan that you can either line with parchment paper or grease and flour.

STEP 2

Lightly roast the pecans nuts till golden (be careful not to burn them).

STEP 3

In a mixing bowl, mix your butter with the granulated sugar until you have a nice paste.

STEP 4

Mash your bananas with the butter and the granulated sugar.

STEP 5

Add the eggs and mix well.

STEP 6

Add in the toasted pecans, the vanilla exact, the chocolate chips and mix well.

STEP 7

Mix aside in a separate bowl the salt, flour, and baking soda.

STEP 8

Combine both mixtures (dry and wet ingredients).

STEP 9

Pour your preparation into your bread loaf pan and bake for about 60min or until your toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle of your load pan.

Let your banana bread cool and enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 bananas ripe
  • 115 grams butter unsalted
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 150 grams pecans
  • 75 grams chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
